BURLINGTON, ONT. – Today, Bryn Murray, vice-president, Wolseley Industrial, announced Wolseley Industrial’s Meridian™ trunnion and floating ball valves have attained IEC 61508 Ed2 SIL 3 approval certificates from Bureau Veritas.
The certificates acknowledge that Wolseley Industrial’s Meridian™ trunnion and floating ball valves meet a series of strict safety and quality requirements, and have extremely low failure rates. In addition, all trunnion and floating ball valves covered by the SIL 3 certifications also meet the requirements of CSA Z245.15.
“The SIL certificates for our trunnion and floating ball valves are a testament to our dedication to providing products that meet the highest levels of safety, quality and engineering,” said Murray. “With these certifications, our customers can be certain that they are using quality products that are safe and will stand the test of time.”
The certificates apply to the following valves:
- Trunnion Ball Valves:
- Sizes two-inch to 56-inch
- ASME classes 150 through 2500
- Industry specifications API 6D, API 608 and ISO 17292
- Floating Ball Valves:
- Sizes two-inch to 12-inch
- ASME classes 150 through 2500
- Industry specifications API 608, API 6D and ISO 17292
